Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Ms. Ivory Creecy and I am grateful to serve as your Principal.  I bring 29 years of varied experiences to Gaston STEM Leadership Academy.  I have been a classroom teacher, a Reading Specialist, an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal.  I am a mother of three and grandmother of four, Chase, Mason, Kaysi and Leiani.  I enjoy shopping, talking, decorating and relaxing with a good movie.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, “Aggie Pride” and a Masters of School Administration and Curriculum Specialist from East Carolina University, “Pirate Pride”.

It is with great pride and honor that I welcome our scholars, parents, community and staff to an incredible 2024-2025 school year.  Gaston’s school community is certainly filled with pride and compassion and I will continue that charge to instill in our scholars. 

I believe that “all” scholars have the potential to be GREAT!  To realize scholars’ greatness, the staff of Gaston will put them first to maximize their fullest potential.  We will support and communicate the school’s high expectations, and work together with students and parents to grow students academically and socially, as well as assist them to graduate ready to achieve success in a rapidly changing world.
