Mrs. Ratasha Benton-Manley

Welcome to my page!

I am currently a 3rd Grade teacher at Willis Hare Elementary School. I am a proud product of Northampton County Schools. Northampton County has always been my home, the home of my parents, my husband, and now my children. I am deeply rooted and planted in this community. I graduated from Elizabeth City State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. As a former Behavioral Intervention Specialist, I have worked with children and at-risk youth from ages 3-19. I am currently pursuing certification in Elementary Education [K-6]. I am very family-oriented; classroom culture and community is of high importance when delivering my daily instruction. My goal is to facilitate an environment conducive to learning, growth and development by helping scholars think critically, empathetically, and judicially through Social-Emotional Learning and Culturally Responsive/Relevant Teaching. I enjoy learning new words, reading great books, writing poetry, painting, football, and spending time with those that I love. Building relationships are of great importance to me; I look forward to connecting with you soon!
