Ms. Katherine Hassell
Ms. Hassell is the Agriculture Education Instructor at Northampton County High School. Ms. Hassell currently teaches Plant Science related courses at the high school. She is the current Advisor of FFA Chapter. She enjoys sharing her love and knowledge with today’s youth about Plant Sciences and Leadership skills. The Agriculture Education program and the FFA Chapter offers many different opportunities for students to help them succeed in their career and future.
Ms. Hassell is originally from Elizabeth City, North Carolina where she attended Northeastern High School. She was an avid member of the Agriculture program and FFA Chapter club as a student. She was a Chapter officer for three years – Sentinel, Secretary and Vice President. She also participated in different Career Development Events (competitions) as Livestock Judging, Poultry Judging and Floriculture Judging at Federation, Regional, State and National level. Ms. Hassell then went on to college and attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. She received a Bachelor of Science in Agroecology with two Minors in Horticulture and Plant Protection.
Ms. Hassell enjoys spending time with her family while working on the family farm where they raise cattle and goats and many different crops and vegetables in her home town of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. You can reach Ms. Hassell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
