Mrs. Qreatha Jones

Qreatha Jones born and raised in Halifax County in North Carolina. She is one of seven siblings, four girls and three boys. I have always had a love of children and education from early on. Recently re-married to a lovely man for 1 year now and I have two handsome sons ages 25 & 26. I wasn’t your typical high school student. I had to find my way. I dropped out of high school twice. The last time I returned and hit the ground running and completed the 12th grade but soon realized I did not have enough credits to graduate so I entered the GED program at Halifax Community College and that’s where my education flourished.

I completed my GED requirements and enrolled in the 2+2 teacher education program with Elizabeth City State University and Halifax Community College. I was so excited about becoming a teacher. I received by Associate in both General Education & Associates in Arts in 2007/2008. I decided to further my career so I entered in the Bachelor’s program and graduated with a History/Political Science degree in 2011.  I re-entered Elizabeth City State University to complete the Licensure Program in Special Education along with completing Student Teaching in the Northampton County School System. Upon completing my Bachelor of Arts degree from Elizabeth City State University I entered into the University of Phoenix and completed a Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Curriculum & Instruction in 2017. Upon completing my Master's Degree in Education I re-entered the University of Phoenix in the Doctorate of Education program completing my 2yr residency before deciding to take a mental break. I will return either in the fall of 2020 or Spring of 2021 to complete my Doctorate in Education.
